About Aisha Mansaray

I first came to Nashville in August of 1999 as a refugee from Sierra Leone. Shortly after arriving, I enrolled at Tennessee State University and graduated with a degree in Social Work. While still in school, I had the opportunity to intern in the Nashville Mayor’s Office of Children and Youth and began working as a Direct Service Provider for men and women with intellectual and developmental disabilities — experiences that ignited in me a passion for service.

I feel blessed to have worked in this field for the past 17 years and am humbled by the opportunity to advocate for the individuals with disabilities. New Horizons has a proud history of service, and I look forward to the future as we continue to fight for the rights and dignity of men and women with disabilities.

In her free time, Aisha enjoys tennis, traveling, and is an avid reader.
